Terms & Conditions

Last updated: 10 October 2026

1. Who we are

These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") govern your use of the Inispo website, mobile application and related services (together, the "Service").

The Service is operated by Inispo Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales under company registration number 15051601. Registered office: 128 City Road, London, EC1V 2NX.

You can contact us at support@inispo.com, or through the contact page. If we need to contact you, we will use the email address or phone number you gave us.

If you take part in our referral programme, our Referral Programme Terms also apply, and they form part of these Terms.

By using the Service you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service. Nothing in these Terms affects your rights under consumer law, and where these Terms and your legal rights differ, your legal rights apply.

2. Definitions

"Platform" — the Inispo website (inispo.com) and mobile application.

"Gift Card" — a prepaid digital voucher or code redeemable with a specific brand or retailer.

"Issuer" — the brand or retailer that issues a Gift Card and decides how it may be redeemed.

"Supplier" — the authorised distributor we buy a Gift Card from.

"Wallet" — the area of your account where purchased Gift Cards are stored.

"Reveal" — the action of displaying a Gift Card's code, PIN or redemption link in your Wallet for the first time.

"you", "your" — the person who uses the Service.

3. Who may use the Service

The Service is for adults only. You must be at least 18 years old to create an account or make a purchase. There is no exception for people under 18 acting with the permission of a parent or guardian.

By creating an account you confirm that you are at least 18 years old and that the information you give us is accurate. If we become aware that an account belongs to someone under 18, we will close it and delete the associated personal data, as described in our Privacy Policy.

4. Your account

You need an account to buy Gift Cards and to use your Wallet. Please keep your login details confidential and do not share them.

You are responsible for activity carried out through your account, except where that activity was not your fault — for example, where someone used your account without your permission and you had taken reasonable care of your login details.

Tell us as soon as you can at support@inispo.com if you think someone else has used your account.

5. What we sell, and our role

Inispo is a marketplace. We buy Gift Cards from authorised distributors and brand partners and resell them to you. We are not the Issuer of the Gift Cards we sell, and we do not control how an Issuer operates its own redemption rules.

Your contract to buy a Gift Card is with us, and our obligations to you under consumer law are ours, not the Issuer's. Separately, once you redeem a Gift Card, the Issuer's own terms govern how the card is spent with that Issuer.

If an Issuer refuses to honour a Gift Card you bought from us, contact us. That is a problem with what we sold you, and section 11 applies.

6. Information we give you before you buy

Gift Cards are not interchangeable. The same brand can issue cards that only work in one country, only in one currency, only in a particular app store region, or only for a certain period. Before you complete a purchase we show you, on the product page:

  • the country or region the card is issued for;
  • the currency of the card and its face value;
  • the Issuer's redemption instructions, where the Issuer has supplied them;
  • the Issuer's own terms and conditions, where the Issuer has supplied them; and
  • any expiry or validity period, where the Issuer has stated one in its terms.

Where an Issuer has not supplied redemption instructions or terms, we say so rather than leaving the section blank. If that information matters to your decision — including the expiry date, which some Issuers do not publish in advance — please ask us before you buy and we will try to obtain it. Once a card is in your Wallet, its expiry date is shown on the card's detail page.

Please check these details carefully before you buy. A card issued for one country or currency usually cannot be used in another, and an account registered in a different region may not accept it. Choosing a card that does not suit your circumstances is not a fault in the card, and section 10 applies. If the information we showed you was wrong, or the card does not match it, that is a fault, and section 11 applies.

7. Prices, fees and payment

Prices are shown in the currency you select in your account settings, and include any discount applied at the time of purchase. The price you see at checkout is the price you pay.

Before you pay, the checkout page sets out the price per card, the quantity, any saving against the face value, and the total amount that will be charged. We do not charge a processing fee, a service fee or any other charge on top of the price shown, and we will not add any charge that was not shown to you on that page before you confirmed payment.

Payments are processed by Stripe Payments UK, Ltd. and its group companies. The payment methods available to you are the ones shown at checkout. We do not receive or store your full card number or security code.

We can change our prices at any time, but a change never applies to an order you have already placed. You are responsible for any tax or duty that applies to your purchase where you live.

8. Delivery, and keeping your code safe

8.1 Delivery. Gift Cards are delivered digitally to your Wallet. In normal circumstances this happens within a few moments of a successful payment, and we will email you a confirmation. Delivery is complete when the card is available in your Wallet. Until you Reveal a card, its code is not displayed anywhere in the Service.

8.2 The code is yours to look after. Once a card has been delivered to your Wallet, you are responsible for keeping its code confidential and secure. Anyone who has the code can redeem it, and a redeemed card cannot be recovered. Please do not share, forward, photograph or post a code, and do not give a code to anyone who contacts you claiming to be from Inispo or from the Issuer. We will never ask you for a code.

8.3 Unauthorised use after delivery. We are not responsible for unauthorised use or redemption of a code after it has been successfully delivered to your Wallet, where that use results from circumstances outside our reasonable control. Examples include a code you shared or forwarded, a screenshot or photograph of a code, and access obtained through a device or account of yours that has been compromised.

This does not apply where the unauthorised use resulted from a failure on our part, including a failure to keep our own systems secure, and it does not affect your rights where a card was already invalid or already redeemed at the time we supplied it. Section 17 sets out the limits on our liability and the liabilities we do not exclude.

9. If delivery is delayed, or we cannot supply the card

Occasionally a Supplier is unable to provide a card after you have paid, or delivery takes longer than expected. If your Wallet does not show the card shortly after payment, please wait a few minutes and refresh, then contact us.

Where we cannot supply the card at all: we cancel the order and refund you in full, to the payment method you used. We do this automatically as soon as our systems establish that the supply has failed; you do not need to ask. If any part of the order was already delivered to your Wallet, we cancel those cards at the same time, and you must not attempt to use them.

Where delivery is only delayed: we will tell you what is happening and give you a revised expectation. If delivery matters to you by a particular time and you told us so when ordering, or if the delay becomes unreasonable, you may treat the contract as at an end and receive a full refund.

A refund under this section is not a favour and is not discretionary. Where we have failed to supply what you paid for, you are entitled to your money back.

10. Cancellation and change of mind

10.1 We do not refund a change of mind. Once a Gift Card has been delivered to your Wallet, we do not refund or cancel it because you have decided you no longer want it, no longer need it, found it cheaper elsewhere, or chose a card that does not suit you. This applies whether or not you have Revealed the code.

10.2 Immediate delivery. We deliver a Gift Card to your Wallet as soon as your payment is confirmed (section 9 explains what happens if delivery is delayed). Before you pay on our website, you tick "I accept the Terms and Conditions". By doing so you ask us to deliver the card immediately, and you agree that once it has been delivered you cannot cancel it or get a refund because you have changed your mind. We record the time you accepted and show it on your receipt.

In our mobile app, you accept these Terms when you create your account, by ticking "I agree to the Terms & Conditions". The app's own payment screen does not ask you again, and these Terms, including this section, apply to every purchase you make in the app. Sometimes the app opens our website's payment page instead of its own payment screen; there you tick "I accept the Terms and Conditions" as described above.

If you close the checkout without paying, nothing is charged and nothing is supplied.

10.3 Faulty cards are a different matter. This section is only about changing your mind. It does not affect your rights if a card is faulty, invalid, already redeemed, not as described or not what you ordered, and it does not affect your rights if we fail to deliver. Those rights are set out in sections 9 and 11, they apply after you have Revealed a code, and nothing you confirm at checkout removes them.

11. If something is wrong with a card

11.1 Tell us. Contact us at support@inispo.com if a card was not delivered, if a code is invalid or has already been redeemed, if the card is not what you ordered, or if it does not match the description we gave you.

Please contact us as soon as reasonably possible after discovering a problem, because redemption records are easier to obtain while they are recent. A delay in reporting does not, by itself, remove your statutory rights, and there is no fixed reporting deadline.

11.2 How we investigate. We raise the matter with the Supplier, the Issuer, or both. We may ask you for more information — for example when and where you tried to redeem the card, what happened, and any error message or screenshot you have. We aim to complete a Gift Card dispute within 30 days of you reporting it. Some cases depend on a third party replying to us and take longer; if yours does, we will tell you why and keep you updated.

11.3 What we take into account. Suppliers and Issuers keep technical records for each code — whether it was activated, whether it has been redeemed, when it was redeemed and, in some cases, through which channel. These records are usually the only account of what happened at the moment of redemption, so we give them significant weight. We do not treat them as conclusive. We also consider what you tell us and any evidence you provide, and we will look at a case again if you can show that a record is wrong or incomplete.

11.4 The outcome. Where the investigation shows that the card was defective, invalid, already redeemed before we supplied it, not as described, or not what you ordered, we will provide the remedy that applies under consumer law — normally a replacement card or a refund. Where the law gives you the choice of remedy, the choice is yours, not ours.

We cannot promise in advance that an investigation will result in a replacement or a refund, because that depends on what the investigation finds. In particular, we are not able to offer a remedy where the evidence shows that the card was valid and unredeemed when we supplied it and the problem arose afterwards for a reason covered by section 8.3.

We will tell you our decision and the reasons for it. If you disagree with it, section 18 explains how to take the matter further. Your statutory rights are unaffected, including your right to bring the matter to court and your right to raise it with your bank or card issuer.

11.5 Your statutory rights. Under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, digital content we supply must be of satisfactory quality, fit for purpose and as described. Nothing in these Terms limits those rights or the remedies that come with them.

12. How refunds are paid

Where a refund is due, we refund to the payment method you used for the original purchase. We cannot refund to a different card or account, because our payment provider reverses the original transaction.

Refunds cover the full amount you paid for the affected cards. We do not charge a fee for issuing a refund.

We send the refund instruction to our payment provider as soon as the refund is agreed, and in any event within the period the law requires. After that, how quickly the money appears is determined by your bank or card issuer, which commonly takes a further five to ten working days. We will tell you the date we issued the refund if you ask.

13. Fraud prevention, reviews and account restrictions

13.1 When we review an account. Gift cards are a frequent target for payment fraud, so we monitor for it — to protect our customers as well as ourselves. We may flag a transaction or an account for review where we detect suspicious activity, potential fraud, unusual payment behaviour, repeated declined payment attempts, the use of several different payment cards, or other risk indicators. A flag is not an accusation, and most reviews end with no action taken.

13.2 Restricting or suspending an account while we review. If we reasonably suspect fraud or another misuse of the Service, we may restrict an account or suspend it temporarily. We may do this immediately and without telling you in advance, because advance notice could allow the suspected fraud to continue. We will tell you afterwards, as section 13.10 explains. The restriction or suspension can last for the whole review, which may take up to 90 days (section 13.3).

  • A restriction limits what you can do. You can still sign in, see your order history and contact us, but you may not be able to Reveal codes, use your Wallet, make purchases, withdraw a referral reward balance, change your login details or edit your profile.
  • A temporary suspension stops all use of the account, including signing in on our website and in our app, until the review is finished. While it lasts, you cannot see, Reveal or use the Gift Cards in your Wallet, and you cannot withdraw a referral reward balance. We contact you by email.

A restriction or a temporary suspension is a precaution taken while we establish the facts. It is not a finding that you have done anything wrong, and it does not by itself invalidate Gift Cards you bought legitimately or remove a refund you are owed. We will keep it no wider and no longer than is reasonably necessary for the review.

We lift a restriction or a suspension only when the review is complete and the concern has been resolved. To resolve it, we may need you to provide the information and evidence described in section 13.4. Section 13.5 explains what happens if we do not receive it.

13.3 How long a review takes. We complete reviews as quickly as we reasonably can, and most are resolved within a few days. A review can take longer where it is complex or where we are waiting for a payment provider, a Supplier, an Issuer or a bank to respond to us. In exceptional cases a review may take up to 90 days. This is an outer limit rather than a normal timescale, and we will tell you if we expect your review to take an extended period. The time between our request for information under section 13.4 and your reply is not counted towards the 90 days.

13.4 Information and evidence we may ask you for. As part of a review, we may ask you to confirm your identity, to show that a payment method belongs to you or that you were authorised to use it, or to explain a transaction or other activity on your account. Depending on the concern, we may ask for one or more of the following. These are examples only, and the list is not complete:

  • a photograph or scan of a government-issued photo identity document, such as a passport or a driving licence;
  • a photograph of you holding that identity document;
  • proof of your address, such as a recent utility bill, council tax bill or bank letter;
  • a bank or card statement, or a screenshot from your banking app, that shows your name, the last four digits of the card and the payment to Inispo;
  • a photograph of the payment card that shows your name and the last four digits, with all other digits and the security code covered;
  • a letter or email from your bank or card issuer confirming that the card or account is yours;
  • receipts, order confirmations or other proof of purchase;
  • information about how and where a Gift Card was used, such as the account with the Issuer that it was redeemed to;
  • a written explanation of the transactions or account activity under review; and
  • any other information or documents that are reasonably necessary to resolve the specific concern.

We may ask for additional information or documents at any point during the review, including after you have sent what we first asked for, where what you sent does not resolve the concern or raises a new one. Section 13.5 applies to every request, not only the first one.

We will ask only for what is reasonably necessary for the concern we are reviewing, and we will tell you what we need. You may cover any information on a document that we have not asked for, such as other transactions on a bank statement. Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle what you send us.

We will never ask for your full card number, your card's security code, your online banking password or a one-time passcode. Do not send them to us, even if someone who claims to be from Inispo asks for them. We ask for information only through a support ticket in your Inispo account, or by email from support@inispo.com.

You must cooperate with the review. This means that you must send what we ask for by replying to our support ticket, or to our email, within 180 days of our request. If you need more time, tell us before the 180 days end, and we will allow more time where that is reasonable. We will not send you a reminder: checking your support tickets and replying in time is your responsibility.

13.5 If you do not reply, or do not provide what we ask for. The decision whether to send us information or documents is yours. These checks are part of the Service, however, and by accepting these Terms you agree that we may ask for the information described in section 13.4, and that the consequences below apply if we do not receive it.

If you do not reply to our request within 180 days, we will close the account permanently.

If you decline, or if you reply but do not send what we asked for within the time allowed, we may:

  • keep the restriction or the temporary suspension in place;
  • cancel any Gift Card connected to the transactions under review that you have not Revealed, and refund it in full to the payment method that was used to buy it; and
  • close the account, as described in section 13.8.

We will not treat a refusal, or a request you did not answer, as proof of fraud. It means that we have not been able to resolve the concern, and for that reason we are not obliged to lift a restriction or a suspension. A refund under this section is always paid to the original payment method, never to a different card or account, so that the money returns to the person who paid.

13.6 Gift Cards that expire during a review. The expiry date of a Gift Card is set by its Issuer. We cannot extend it, and a review does not pause it. We are not responsible for a Gift Card that expires during a restriction or a suspension:

  • where the review finds fraud or another breach of these Terms connected to your account; or
  • where the card expires while we are waiting for information or evidence we asked you for under section 13.4, or after the time allowed for providing it has passed.

Providing what we ask for in time is your responsibility. If you delay, the risk that a card expires during that delay is yours, even if the review later ends in your favour.

If the review ends in your favour, and a card expired only because our restriction or suspension prevented you from using it, and not in either of the situations listed above, we will replace the card or refund it to the payment method used to buy it. This does not apply to a card that had already expired or had already been redeemed before the restriction or suspension began.

13.7 After the review. Once a review is complete, we will either lift the restriction or the suspension and restore your account, or keep some or all of the restrictions in place, or apply further ones, according to what the review found. Where restrictions remain, we will tell you what they are and why, so far as we lawfully and safely can.

13.8 Closing an account for fraud or another breach of these Terms. If a review concludes that an account has been used for fraud or in breach of these Terms, we may close it permanently. Examples include:

  • paying, or attempting to pay, with a card or account that is not yours;
  • repeated declined payments consistent with testing stolen card numbers;
  • creating additional accounts to get around a restriction or a purchase limit;
  • reselling or commercially redistributing Gift Cards bought through the Platform without our written agreement;
  • sending us a document that has been altered or is not genuine; and
  • activity we reasonably believe to be fraud, money laundering or a breach of the law.

When we close an account permanently for one of these reasons:

  • we cancel every Gift Card that is connected to the fraud or the breach, including every card bought with a payment method you were not entitled to use. We do not replace these cards or refund them to you. Where money is returned for them, it is returned only to the original payment method;
  • we cancel any referral reward balance that has not been paid out, and it will not be paid;
  • you may not open a new account, and we may close any other account that we reasonably believe you control.

Gift Cards that you bought with your own payment method, and that are not connected to the fraud or the breach, are not taken from you: we either make them available to you or refund them to the payment method used to buy them. We will tell you which cards we cancelled and why, so far as we lawfully and safely can. Where we believe that a crime has been committed, we may report it to the police and to our payment provider.

13.9 Closing an account that is under review. While an account is restricted pending a review, you cannot close it yourself from the app, because closing an account and registering again with the same email address reopens the original account and would set the review aside. Ask us to close it and we will do so once the review is finished. This does not affect a refund you are owed, and it does not remove any right you have to ask us to erase your personal data — see our Privacy Policy.

13.10 How we tell you about a restriction. When we restrict your account, we open a support ticket in your account that explains what we need from you, and we send you one email about it. We do not tell you which check flagged your account or what it found, because that would help others get around our fraud checks. We may also withhold other detail where telling you would undermine a fraud investigation, or where the law prevents us from disclosing it.

13.11 Human review. Some restrictions begin with an automated assessment. You can ask for that decision to be reviewed by a member of our team, and a person — not a system — will make the final decision. Email support@inispo.com and say that you want a human review. Our Privacy Policy explains how our automated fraud checks work and what data they use.

14. Payment disputes and chargebacks

If you think a charge is wrong, please contact us first — we can usually resolve it faster than your bank can. You are still free to raise the matter with your bank or card issuer at any time.

A good-faith payment dispute is not, by itself, misuse of the Service, and we will not restrict your account merely because you raised one. We may take proportionate action where there is reasonable evidence of deliberate deception — for example, a pattern of disputing charges for cards that were revealed and spent.

Where we do take action on that basis, section 13 applies: we will give you the reason where we lawfully can, and you can ask for a human review.

15. Acceptable use, pricing errors and vulnerabilities

15.1 What you must not do. You agree not to:

  • use the Platform for any unlawful purpose;
  • try to gain unauthorised access to the Platform, to other accounts, or to our systems;
  • use bots, scrapers or other automated tools on the Platform without our permission;
  • interfere with the security, integrity or performance of the Platform;
  • change, or try to change, the price, quantity, currency or any other detail of an order, for example by editing the requests that your browser or our app sends to us;
  • use, or try to use, a pricing error, a technical error or a security vulnerability in the Service to obtain a Gift Card, a refund, a referral reward or any other benefit that you are not entitled to; or
  • impersonate another person or misrepresent who you are acting for.

15.2 Pricing errors. Occasionally a price on the Platform may be wrong because of a technical or human error — for example, a Gift Card with a face value of £100 offered for £10. Where the error is obvious, meaning that you knew or should reasonably have known that the price was wrong, we are not bound by that price, even if we have accepted your payment and delivered the card. We may cancel the order and refund what you paid to the original payment method. If you have already Revealed or used the card, you must pay us the difference between the correct price and the price you paid.

15.3 If you find an error or a vulnerability. If you discover a pricing error, a technical error or a security vulnerability in the Service, you must not use it, and you must tell us at support@inispo.com as soon as you can. If you report it promptly and you have not used it to obtain a benefit, we will not take any action against you because you found it.

15.4 What we do if you use one. If we reasonably believe that you have used, or tried to use, a pricing error, a technical error or a security vulnerability for your own benefit without telling us — for example by buying a mispriced Gift Card several times, or by changing the price of an order — we may:

  • suspend your account immediately and close it permanently. We do not have to tell you in advance, and we do not have to explain how we detected what happened;
  • cancel every Gift Card, referral reward and other benefit you obtained in that way, and either refund what you actually paid to the original payment method or set it against the amount you owe us under section 15.5;
  • refuse to let you open a new account; and
  • report the matter to the police and to our payment provider.

Section 13.8 applies to the closure of the account. If you believe that we have made a mistake, email support@inispo.com. A member of our team, not a system, will look at it again (section 13.11).

15.5 Legal action. We may take legal action against you to recover our loss, including the value of every Gift Card or other benefit you obtained through the error or the vulnerability, less anything you paid for it, and our legal costs where a court allows them. This right continues after your account is closed. Section 21 explains which courts deal with such a claim.

16. Intellectual property

The Inispo name, logo and branding belong to Inispo Ltd. Brand names and logos belonging to Issuers are used to identify their products and remain the property of those Issuers.

The content of the Platform — text, graphics, software and interface design — is protected by intellectual property law and may not be reproduced, distributed or modified without our permission.

17. Our responsibility for loss or damage

If we fail to comply with these Terms, we are responsible for loss or damage you suffer that is a foreseeable result of our breach or our failure to use reasonable care and skill. Loss or damage is foreseeable if either it is obvious that it will happen, or if, at the time you made your purchase, both we and you knew it might happen.

We are not responsible for loss or damage that was not caused by our breach or our lack of reasonable care and skill, including loss arising from the circumstances described in section 8.3, or from your choosing a card for a country, region or currency that does not suit you where we displayed that information before you bought.

We do not exclude or limit our liability to you in any way where it would be unlawful to do so. This includes liability for:

  • death or personal injury caused by our negligence;
  • fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation;
  • breach of your legal rights in relation to the digital content we supply, including the right to receive content that is as described, of satisfactory quality and fit for purpose; and
  • any other liability that cannot be excluded or limited under English law.

We are not liable for business losses. We supply Gift Cards for domestic and private use. If you use them for any commercial or business purpose, we have no liability to you for loss of profit, loss of business, business interruption or loss of business opportunity.

Where a Gift Card is faulty and we have also damaged a device or other digital content belonging to you, we will either repair the damage or pay you compensation.

18. Complaints and disputes

If you are unhappy with something — including a decision we reached under section 11 or section 13 — please tell us at support@inispo.com and describe what happened and what you would like us to do. We will acknowledge your complaint within three working days and give you an answer, with our reasons, within 14 days. If we need longer — for example because we are waiting for an Issuer or a Supplier to respond — we will tell you why and when you can expect a decision.

Raising a complaint will never, by itself, count against you. We do not restrict accounts, withdraw benefits or refuse service because a customer has complained.

We do not currently use an alternative dispute resolution provider, so if you are not satisfied with our final answer you are free to take the matter to court.

19. Changes to these Terms

19.1 Why we may change them. We may change these Terms at any time for a valid reason, including:

  • a change in the law, or in guidance from a regulator;
  • to prevent fraud, money laundering or misuse of the Service, or to protect its security;
  • a change in our payment providers, Suppliers or Issuers, or in their requirements;
  • a change in how the Service works, or a new feature; and
  • to make these Terms clearer or to correct a mistake.

19.2 How we tell you. We will tell you about a significant change by email or through the Platform at least 14 days before it takes effect. Where a change is urgently needed to meet a legal requirement or to prevent fraud or a security risk, it may take effect sooner, and we will tell you as soon as we reasonably can. The date at the top of this page shows when these Terms last changed.

19.3 What a change applies to. From the date a change takes effect, the new Terms apply to your use of your account and of the Service, including every fraud or security review that we carry out after that date. On our website, you also accept the Terms in force at that time each time you make a purchase.

A change does not reduce the rights you already have under a purchase made before the change, such as your right to a refund or a replacement for a faulty card, or for a card we failed to supply.

19.4 If you do not agree. If you do not agree with a change, you can close your account before it takes effect, subject to section 13.9 if your account is under review. If you continue to use the Service after that date, the new Terms apply to you.

20. Your personal data

Inispo Ltd is the controller of the personal data we process about you, under the UK General Data Protection Regulation and the Data Protection Act 2018, and we are registered with the Information Commissioner's Office.

Our Privacy Policy explains what we collect, why, who we share it with, where it is processed and how long we keep it.

21. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the law of England and Wales.

You can bring legal proceedings in the courts of England and Wales. If you live in Scotland or Northern Ireland, you can also bring proceedings in the courts there, and the mandatory consumer protection law of the part of the United Kingdom where you live continues to apply to you.

We can bring legal proceedings against you, including a claim under section 15.5. We will bring them in the courts of the part of the United Kingdom where you live, or, if you do not live in the United Kingdom, in the courts of England and Wales.
